major happiness upon digging out the antique electric mixer in my house!
it definitely works wayyyy better than a hand whisk! yay! finally able to make spongy cakes! whisking volumes up and i finally achieved the ribbon-like texture all the bakers have been talking about!
but still, my first sponge cake failed! couldn’t “bake”.

and this time round, i was too ambitious, trying out a total of 3 recipes, which ALL FAILED terribly. sigh. what a waste of money!

i realized that i had been really stupid to have attempted to bake the fruit tarts at 11pm the other day and done a slip-shod job of everything.i tried a second time today and spent 4 hours completing everything. partially because i didn’t have enough tart moulds. damn tired now!!
